Frequently asked questions
Who is itemlogs for?
Itemlogs is for small time sellers, collectors and people who just want to log what they own. It can also be used to log your vacation experiences and share with friends in more detail than ever before.
Where does my data live?
On a vercel cloud-server in a location of your choosing during signup. Itemlogs.com never stores your item data — Not even your password — only enough to manage the deployment (your domain name and Vercel access token).
How much storage do I get?
Supabase's free tier gives you 5GB for your item data, and Vercel Blob gives you 1GB for images and documents — plenty for a large personal catalog. Uploaded images are automatically compressed to help that go further.
Can I use my own domain name?
You can manage your own domain name through your vercel account, or continue using the free subdomain yourname.itemlogs.com.
What if I messed up the expiration date on my access token?
If you have not pasted the token and clicked "Next" yet, just create another token with Expiration date "Never". Otherwise you can submit a support request with the new token and your domain name and we can fix it for you.
What if I forgot my login password?
You just lost your account forever. There is no password recovery. Itemlogs does not store your password or email.
Something went wrong while deploying supabase. What do I do?
There are 2 frequent causes for this. 1. You used an unserious email address during vercel signup and supabase banned you. In this case create a new vercel account with a serious email and try again. 2. You already created 2 supabase instances on your vercel account. Supabase only allows 2 instances per vercel account. In this case you can either delete one of your existing supabase instances by going to your vercel account under "storage"->"supabase-name"->"settings"->"delete" or create a new vercel account.
